In a recent promo on this week’s WWE Raw, John Cena declared his intent to surpass Ric Flair’s record by winning his seventeenth world title at WrestleMania 41 against Cody Rhodes.
As a heel, he wants to overshadow Flair’s legacy and retire as champion, leading to him ruining wrestling. Dean “Mojo” Muhtadi of TMZ Sports asked for Flair’s reaction to Cena’s bold statement.
“I’m just glad I’m alive after the life I’ve led to be here to hear it. I got news for John. They’ve been trying to get rid of the ‘Woo’ for 50 years. The ‘Woo’ isn’t going away, and neither is Ric Flair, and the odds of him winning a seventeenth world title are astronomical.”
Flair expressed his enthusiasm for Cena’s heel turn, describing it as “the coolest thing they could have done.” Flair confirmed he will be at WrestleMania 41.
