Ric Flair, Triple H, Vince McMahon Among Attendees At Hulk Hogan’s Funeral

Family, friends, and luminaries from the worlds of professional wrestling and entertainment gathered in Clearwater, Florida, on Tuesday, August 5, to pay their final respects to the late Hulk Hogan (Terry Bollea). The private service was held to honor the life and legacy of the cultural icon, who passed away on July 24 at the age of 71.

Star-Studded Gathering

According to a social media post from his longtime friend and rival, Ric Flair, the service was attended by several high-profile figures. Among those Flair mentioned were WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, and NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman. Singer Kid Rock was also named as being in attendance, and comedian Theo Von was reported to have been at the service as well.

Context of Famous Friendships

The gathering highlighted Hogan’s crossover appeal and his decades-long career. His on-screen partnership with Dennis Rodman was a key part of the New World Order (nWo) storyline in WCW during the 1990s.

Per the official report from the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center, Hogan’s cause of death was an acute myocardial infarction, with a history of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia listed as a contributing factor. The medical records also indicated that Hogan’s final arrangements included cremation. This news followed a period of public speculation about his health.

Family Matters

Hogan is survived by his children, Nick and Brooke Hogan, his third wife, Sky Daily, and two ex-wives. It has not been publicly confirmed which family members were in attendance at the private service. This past Saturday at WWE’s SummerSlam, his son, Nick Hogan, was in attendance for the company’s tribute to his father. His daughter, Brooke, has recently made public statements about her two-year estrangement from her father prior to his passing.
