Ric Flair: WWE Doesn’t Utilize Randy Orton ‘The Way I Would If I’ Were The Booker

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair delivered high praise for Randy Orton during a recent appearance on the Double Coverage podcast, calling the third-generation superstar the “best male worker in the company right now”. Despite his enthusiasm for Orton’s in-ring skill, Flair did not hold back in criticizing WWE’s creative direction, stating that they are currently not utilizing Orton to his full potential. Flair’s comments reflect a long-running sentiment among fans who believe the former world champion is capable of far more than his current role.

The Best Male Worker in the Company

Flair, a man who worked closely with Orton during the original Evolution faction’s rise, spoke to Orton’s importance. Flair stated that while he respects Orton’s decision to maintain his current schedule, he sees a significant missed opportunity in his creative booking.

“Randy Orton, I mean, he’s third generation. Randy is the best male worker in the company right now. They don’t utilize him the way I would if I was booker, but I’m not. So, he can still work his ass off. But, he’s making a lot of money. He’s doing good. He’s happy. And that’s all that matters.”

Praise for Physical Dedication

Flair did not stop with simply praising Orton’s in-ring ability. He made a point of acknowledging the level of dedication Orton has shown to maintaining his physique without the use of performance enhancers. Orton is expected to return from his hiatus at the December 5th SmackDown event, as he’s advertised for the show.
