As noted earlier this week, Ric Flair is set to come back to WWE as a regular character but he needs to get medical work done. The belief is that Flair may still be dealing with the blood clot in his leg.
WWE will not allow active performers to use blood thinners so that could be an issue that will prevent him from participating on TV. Flair has been telling people that his blood clot issue was cleared up though.
