Dating back to last summer there had been speculation about Bronson Rechsteiner, the son of former WCW/WWE World Tag Team Champion Rick Steiner, potentially getting into the pro wrestling business.
At the time, he had been waived by the Baltimore Ravens, which led to him putting his football aspirations behind him in favor of a career in the pro wrestling business.
Last November, it was reported he had a tryout with WWE. Then Triple H stated on the NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day conference call that Bronson could be headed to the Performance Center to start training. Shortly after that, various reports about WWE going on a signing spree started making around with Bronson listed as one of the talents to be signed by the company for them to be considered as Performance Center recruits.
He is also the nephew of former WCW World Champion Scott Steiner. Bronson made his independent wrestling debut back in August by wrestling Jamie Hall at the AWF/WOW WrestleJam 8 event in Ringgold, Georgia.
Pwinsider.com reported today that Bronson was among several new signees to start training at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida on Tuesday. The following names have been confirmed to be part of the latest class of recruits:
