After Rick Steiner’s behavior a few months ago, fans were concerned that it might negatively impact his son, Bron Breakker, and his career in WWE.
This past April, Steiner made transphobic comments towards Impact Wrestling star Gisele Shaw at WrestleCon on WrestleMania 39 weekend, which was corroborated by several people who witnessed it.
While recently speaking with USA Today, Breakker stated that his father’s transphobic comments do not reflect him.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Steiner confirmed the situation happened to multiple people. The report added, “There was no heat from WWE towards Breakker, but we’re told that it eliminated any chance of the company using Rick Steiner for quite some time.”
It was said by those they spoke with that there was no consideration in holding Breakker responsible for something his father did. The former NXT champion has reportedly not had any character issues since joining the company.
Breakker was in action n NXT TV last week when he lost to World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
