Ricky Saints On Oba Femi: ‘You See Him In Person And You Go Wow, I Get It, I Totally Get It’

Ricky Saints has offered high praise for former NXT Champion Oba Femi ahead of his WrestleMania 42 match with Brock Lesnar, saying that anyone who has shared a ring with Femi understands immediately why he has been given such a massive opportunity on the biggest stage in wrestling.

Speaking on TMZ Inside The Ring, Saints was asked about Femi’s WrestleMania booking and offered an endorsement based on his firsthand experience competing against him in NXT.

“I am completely not surprised that he is the one to take on Brock Lesnar,” Saints said. “Oba is a different type of cat. I’ll tell you that. You get in the ring with him and you realize it immediately. And I think he has every tool to be successful in wrestling. And I think he’s just one of those guys where you see him in person, you go, wow, I get it. I totally get it.”

Saints and Femi have a shared history in NXT, with the two crossing paths as Femi held the NXT Championship earlier in his run. The respect Saints showed for Femi’s abilities speaks to the impression the Nigerian-born powerhouse has made on his peers inside the ring.

WrestleMania 42 takes place April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
