Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat is coming out retirement to wrestle Ric Flair



Fightful Select is reporting that WWE Hall Of Famer Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat is coming out of retirement to wrestle Ric Flair in July. The report notes that it will be a tag team match. The plan is for Flair to team up with FTR against The Rock N' Roll Express and Steamboat.

The match is scheduled for Sunday, July 31st at 6:05 pm eastern at the Nashville Fairgrounds during SummerSlam weekend. The show is being promoted under the Jim Crockett Promotions banner and it will stream live on FITE TV.

Steamboat's full-time wrestling career ended in 1994 due to a neck injury but he returned in 2009 for some matches against Chris Jericho. He also wrestled some house show matches against Drew McIntyre.
