It’s now looking less likely that Ricochet will be going to WWE soon. The reason is because he is looking at staying with New Japan Pro Wrestling for the foreseeable future.
I guess that means that he can return to Lucha Underground. He (as Prince Puma) was written out of the storyline during the last season after losing a loser-must-retire match to Pentagon. Of course, that doesn’t mean that he couldn’t come back without the mask as Ricochet.
At just 27 years old, he has a bunch of prime years left in him if he can stay healthy and he can probably continue making really good money on the independent scene for another couple of years before making the jump to WWE. Wrestling on TV may be cold right now but guys like Ricochet continue to make a nice living on the indie scene while being able to call their own shots on bookings.
A post on his twitter account would seem to confirm the reports about him not going to WWE in the near future.
