Ricochet On Je’Von Evans Twitter Beef: “A Lot Of People Seemed Upset About It”

AEW star Ricochet has broken his silence on his recent viral social media exchange with WWE NXT wrestler Je’Von Evans and elaborated on the creative freedom he enjoys in All Elite Wrestling.

The two traded increasingly personal insults after Ricochet responded dismissively that he would “squash” the NXT talent. Evans fired back, “My Bad. I Just Got Done Training At The Performance Center, Under Shawn Michaels. Something That You Don’t Have Or Do BUT, I Bet Yo Brown Egg Head Ass Would Squash Me If Tony Told You To🤷🏾‍♂️Much Love OG❤️‍🔥”

Ricochet retorted by referencing his own history. “Brother, I was learning from Shawn Michaels when you was like 12. Then went on to become multiple time Champion. Let me know when you win one, little boy,” Ricochet posted, adding he’d beat Evans if AEW owner Tony Khan asked.

Evans escalated sharply, and controversially referencing AEW’s owner, Tony Khan: “Now, You’re Wrestling In Front Of 2,000 People, Every Week, For A Crackhead. Talk About An Upgrade Am I Right??😂… You Had To Come For A Successful Ass Youngin💯” He claimed Ricochet was using him for attention.

Ricochet ended the exchange by mocking NXT’s venue size: “How many people does the PC hold? Bahahaha but keep up the energy. It makes you look cool.”

Speaking on the Battleground Podcast released today, May 14, 2025, Ricochet addressed the online stir. Ricochet commented with a smile, “A lot of people seemed upset about it.” He feels his current, often heelish, persona is him “finally just kind of living my own life and now everyone’s just getting a chance to see it really.”
