Amidst significant shifts in WWE’s top faction, Hall of Famer Rikishi remains adamant that “The Bloodline is the timeline,” expressing strong opinions on its current members, potential additions, and the status of Roman Reigns. Speaking on his “Rikishi Fatu Off The Top” podcast, the patriarch of the Anoa’i wrestling dynasty shared his vision for the group’s evolution, including the formation of a women’s division counterpart.
Addressing backstage interactions between his daughter-in-law Naomi and Nia Jax, Rikishi enthusiastically supported the idea of a female Bloodline. “Why not?” he asked. “I think it’s good for business… The Bloodline is not only men in the family… We got females in this family, females that can work, females that can draw, females that can carry the ball.” When suggesting potential members like Ava (The Rock’s daughter) and Nia Jax, and prompted specifically about Tamina Snuka, Rikishi concurred, stating, “Tamina can come in play her part there.” He ultimately envisioned a core four: “Those will be the the four. I feel it would be Ava… [Nia] Jax… Tamina. And Naomi,” outlining a potentially dominant force in the women’s division.
Rikishi also praised his nephew, the reigning WWE United States Champion Jacob Fatu, recalling a conversation about his potential. “Just sitting there, just, you know, reminiscing of… where he came from, and what it feels like… Man, Uncle, you called it,” Rikishi recounted. “To me, this kid is destined for big things… I feel that this is just one title that you’re going to go through.”
Despite Roman Reigns’ current absence following WrestleMania and Paul Heyman seemingly aligning with a new group including Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker, Rikishi believes the former “Tribal Chief” is far from finished. “Roman plotting right now,” Rikishi stated confidently. “He got his coming, I guarantee you.” He dismissed the idea that The Bloodline’s era is over, questioning the potential drawing power of storylines without his family members involved. “How about we just take out the bloodline from all the top angles… and let’s just see what type of box office draw that they can draw… No matter how you twist it and write it… without any member of the bloodline within that angle, it’s not going to work.” Regarding internet rumors of Reigns potentially forming a “Shield 2.0” with CM Punk, Rikishi expressed skepticism: “You can never reduplicate… the originals… I don’t know if CM Punk is the guy to be able to be in that faction with Roman.”
