Rikishi: ‘Grateful To Be Alive’ After Unexpected Surgery

WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi has shared a positive update after undergoing unexpected surgery recently. The former Intercontinental and Tag Team Champion shared his gratitude on social media.

Posting a photo on Instagram featuring himself with family members, including his sons, WWE Superstars The Usos (Jey and Jimmy Uso), Rikishi wrote, “God is amazing. Grateful to be alive. We share blessings today and forever more.”

Recent Health Issues

The post received supportive comments from fans, including one from Rikishi’s daughter-in-law, WWE Superstar Naomi (married to Jimmy Uso), who commented that the men in the photo are “my guys.” Naomi is currently away from WWE programming due to pregnancy.

Rikishi’s message comes after a sudden health issue forced him to undergo surgery earlier in October 2025. As reported by PWInsider at the time, the undisclosed health problem arose unexpectedly, causing Rikishi to withdraw from several scheduled appearances.

This followed a previous instance in December 2024 where Rikishi had to pull out of the Nostalgia Con event in Houston, Texas, due to illness. We wish the WWE Hall of Famer a speedy recovery.
