Rikishi Reveals He Has Been Encouraging Jimmy Uso And Naomi To Start A Family

WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi proudly congratulated his daughter-in-law, Naomi (Trinity Fatu), on her recent Women’s World Championship victory. Speaking on his Rikishi Fatu Off The Top podcast, he called the win a “beautiful thing” and reflected on her long journey in the business.

“Big congratulations to my daughter-in-law, man, it’s been again, you know, it’s been a long journey for her,” Rikishi said. “You and I know, the fans know… what work that she’s put in. She’s done it all… and now to be able to come back again and get this opportunity, I’m sure she’s very happy.” He offered her some direct encouragement, saying, “This is your time again. Run with it. Enjoy it, and don’t forget to bring that belt home to ‘Pops’.”

Family and The Future

Rikishi also spoke about his hope that Naomi and his son, Jonathan Fatu (Jimmy Uso), will soon start a family, noting that it’s a conversation he’s been having with them for a while. “I’ve been asking her and my son, Jonathan, for a minute, man,” he revealed. “Every time I see her, ‘When are you gonna bring me a grandson or granddaughter?’ So let’s hope for, hopefully, that happens.” He added that he could see both of them venturing into Hollywood in the future.

A Dream Retirement Match

When asked how he’d like to see Naomi’s career end, Rikishi said the decision should ultimately be hers, but he pitched the idea of an “Icon vs. Icon” match. “I would like to see her go out beating an icon of the business,” he stated. He suggested names from the past like Jazz, Miss Jackie, Ivory, and Trish Stratus as potential opponents. “If Chyna was alive, oh, man… the number one women’s icon there that really paved the way,” he added.

Naomi won the Women’s World Championship at the Evolution premium live event by successfully cashing in her Money in the Bank contract.
