WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia will return to lend her iconic voice to a historic occasion, as she announced today that she will be the ring announcer for the first-ever WWE NXT x Lucha Libre AAA “Worlds Collide” event. The special inter-promotional showcase is set to take place this Saturday, June 7, 2025.
Garcia shared the news on her social media platforms, expressing her enthusiasm for being part of the groundbreaking show. “Este Sábado (this Saturday), @wwe @wwenxt y @luchalibreaaa va acer HISTORIA (is making history) as they collide for the very FIRST time (por la primera vez) at WORLDS COLLIDE!! 🤼,” she posted. “Es un honor to make history with them as the Ring Announcer para este evento espectacular! 🎤 (It’s an honor to make history with them as the Ring Announcer for this spectacular event!).”
The WWE NXT x AAA Worlds Collide event will be held at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California, with a start time of 12 p.m. PT / 3 p.m. ET. In her announcement, Garcia highlighted that fans can attend the event in person or watch it for free on WWE’s official YouTube channel. “Come join us or watch for FREE on YOUTUBE! (Ven en persona o lo pueden ver gratis por YouTube),” she added.
The “Worlds Collide” branding signifies a rare and highly anticipated collaboration between WWE’s NXT brand and the premier Mexican Lucha Libre promotion, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. This marks the first time these two entities will formally come together for such an event, promising a unique blend of wrestling styles and talent.
Several intriguing inter-promotional matches have already been announced for the card. AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo is scheduled to defend his title against WWE Raw’s El Grande Americano in a highly anticipated dream match. Additionally, a women’s tag team match will see NXT’s Stephanie Vaquer (former NXT Women’s Champion) and Lola Vice take on AAA’s Chik Tormenta and Dalys.
