Rob Gronkowski says participating in WrestleMania 33 would be pretty cool

It’s well known that New England Patriot football player Rob Gronkowski is a big WWE fan and is friends with SmackDown Live star Mojo Rawley. Gronkowski recently spoke with Justin Barrasso of and during the interview, he was asked if he would be part of the upcoming WrestleMania 33 festivities in Orlando, Florida next year.

“That’s the first time I’ve heard that,” said Gronkowski. “That would be pretty cool, so I don’t know.”

Back in May, he stated that you might see him in a WWE ring once his NFL career comes to an end. He also stated that he would consider a career in WWE but not in a full-time role and that his name would be “The Gronk.” It’s possible that Gronkowski works a match in WWE in the future.

WWE has had several celebrities wrestle or get physical in a ring before. The most notable NFL star that has wrestled in WWE was Lawrence Taylor, who wrestled Bam Bam Bigelow at WrestleMania 11. Time will tell if he does something at WrestleMania 33.
