Rob Van Dam Believes Pat McAfee Brings Value, Good Synergy to WWE

During his “1 of a Kind” podcast, Rob Van Dam shared his impressions of WWE commentator and occasional competitor Pat McAfee. Although McAfee joined WWE after RVD’s last full-time run, Van Dam offered a positive assessment based on what he’s seen.

“Well, he’s totally into it,” RVD observed. “…I was watching him commentating, and I’m realizing… he wasn’t around when I was there, so he seems really new to me, but he’s probably been there for so long since I’ve been gone… he seems used to it. He seems very like, he’s plugged in one of the family… comfortable with making his own decisions on what he’s talking about…”

RVD concluded, “So… I don’t have anything negative… He seems to have a lot of passion for the industry. Otherwise, I don’t know why he would do what he does, and I know he always has wrestlers on his show… So I assume that that’s good synergy and good networking… otherwise, why would him and the brothers have anything to do with wrestling unless they’re bringing in the numbers, right?”
