Robert Stone Recalls Giving Advice to a Young Jordynne Grace, Praises Her NXT Success: “She’s Been Killing It”

WWE NXT personality Robert Stone recently shared a heartwarming “full circle” story about current TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace, recalling a time over a decade ago when a very young Grace approached him for career advice on a small independent show. Speaking on “Ten Count with Steve Fall,” Stone praised Grace’s current success in NXT, where she has been appearing as part of the TNA crossover.

When asked about TNA talent like Grace coming over to NXT, Stone was highly complimentary. “She’s been killing it. She’s been doing an awesome job. She looks like a star. She wrestles like a star. The fans take to her like she’s a star. She is a star,” Stone stated. “I think NXT right now is excited to have her and lucky to have her.”

He then shared a personal anecdote from early in both of their careers. “I was on a very small independent wrestling show in probably 2010 or 2011 and she had just started,” Stone recounted. “She came up to me after the show… and she was like, ‘What do I have to do to to, you know, get to TNA or to the next level?’ And I just remember she was so young, maybe she just graduated… high school or something.”

Stone explained he gave her a realistic perspective on the challenges ahead. “I just remember talking to her about how hard it was, and you have to stand out to be different, and all that kind of stuff,” he said, noting there are “thousands of wrestlers” trying to get one of a few hundred spots. He didn’t know at the time what her future would hold.

The memory made Grace’s eventual success all the more meaningful for Stone to witness. “And then years later, I saw her, and she was on TV, and she made it, but it’s just, you know, you have these conversations… it was cool years later to see that she made it,” he reflected. “I was like, wow. We had that conversation. She followed her [dream]. And look at that. How cool is that?” The story highlights Grace’s long journey and dedication to reaching the top of the industry.
