The Rock Gives Whereabouts Update Ahead Of WWE WrestleMania 42 Weekend

The Rock has provided an update on his whereabouts heading into WrestleMania 42 weekend, and it appears he will not be in Las Vegas for the event. The Rock attended CinemaCon in Las Vegas this week alongside Catherine Lagaʻaia to promote the upcoming live-action Moana remake, in which Lagaʻaia plays Moana and The Rock reprises his role as Maui. The film is set for release on July 10, 2026.

During his CinemaCon appearance, The Rock announced that he would be flying home Thursday night to celebrate his youngest daughter Tia’s eighth birthday.

“Being a proud girl dad, three times. I have a daughter in her 20s, I have ten, I have eight. I have seven. My youngest is going to turn eight tomorrow. Happy birthday Tia, I know you’re going to see this. I love you. I’m coming home tonight,” The Rock said.

The announcement comes amid speculation about whether The Rock might appear at WrestleMania 42. The build to the Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk main event has gotten personal, with remarks directed at the Anoa’i family during the course of the feud. Punk also took shots at The Rock’s Hollywood career on the April 6 episode of Raw, adding another layer to the intrigue surrounding a possible appearance.

The Rock last competed at WrestleMania 40, teaming with Roman Reigns against Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. Last year he played a key role in John Cena’s heel turn at Elimination Chamber before disappearing from WWE television entirely. He has made no televised WWE appearances since.

His Thursday night departure from Las Vegas would appear to rule out any involvement at the show, though WWE has not provided any official confirmation either way.
