The January schedule for HBO Max has been released, featuring dates for archive AEW content and the streaming debut of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s latest film.
AEW’s biggest pay-per-view of 2025, All In: Texas, will hit the streaming service on Friday, January 16. The event took place six months prior at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
Later in the month, on Friday, January 30, episodes of Dynamite and Rampage from the summer of 2022 will be added to the service. The schedule describes these episodes as featuring a moment where “an undisputed AEW World Champion is crowned, and a future World Champion makes his return.”
On Friday, January 23, The Smashing Machine will debut on the service. The A24 film, directed by Benny Safdie, stars Dwayne Johnson as former MMA star Mark Kerr and Emily Blunt as his wife, Dawn Staples. The biopic initially hit theaters this past October but struggled at the box office, grossing just $20 million worldwide. Despite the financial performance, the film garnered Golden Globe nominations for both Johnson and Blunt.
The Smashing Machine is a sports drama based on the life of Kerr, a two-time UFC Heavyweight Tournament Champion, covering his career and his struggles with addiction and marriage. The cast also features notable names from the sports world, including Oleksandr Usyk as Igor Vovchanchyn and Ryan Bader as Mark Coleman.
