Roddy Piper reportedly fired from Podcast One at the request of Stone Cold Steve Austin

For fans wondering about “Rowdy” Roddy Piper’s podcast, it looks like he was fired from Podcast One. Piper noted that he was fired because of the content of his last podcast where he had comedian Will Sasso on doing an impression of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Sasso was obviously doing satire when he talked about why he (playing Stone Cold) no-showed WrestleMania 31.

Sasso is a huge wrestling fan and some fans might remember Sasso from appearances he did on WCW Monday Nitro and Mad TV in the late 90s. Sasso was invited to be a part of an episode of Smackdown in 2002 after he impressed officials with his Steve Austin impression.

Piper’s podcast is now available on SoundCloud. It’s also available on iTunes. Piper talked about it and he also aired the podcast that got him fired. Piper noted that the podcast was up for just 6 hours before it was pulled from Podcast One. It’s back up now at his new home and you can listen to all of it below. If the story about Austin getting Piper fired is true then that’s a petty thing to get upset about.
