The first episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown of 2021 kicked off with Universal Champion Roman Reigns. As advertised, Reigns had a special request and he was flanked by his cousin Jey Uso and Special Counsel Paul Heyman.
Reigns noted that he saved Paul Heyman after he was discarded and thrown “into the deep end.” Reigns also said that his cousin Jey “is a prime example of what I can do” and Jey ended up having the best year of his career.
Kevin Owens, who lost last week in a Steel Cage match to Reigns, walked out to the ring. KO said that he plans on fighting Jey and when he is done, Reigns’ family will have nothing to celebrate. Owens said he wanted Uso because he is the person who cost him the Universal Championship.
For what it’s worth, Jimmy Uso is expected back soon.
