Reigns is set to play the formidable and demonic martial artist, Akuma. Rhodes will step into the boots of the classic American hero, Guile.

The film, which is being co-developed by Legendary, Sony, and Capcom, is scheduled for a 2026 release. It will be directed by Kitao Sakurai, who has taken over the project from Danny & Michael Philippou.

Reigns and Rhodes join an already star-studded cast that includes Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Jason Momoa as Blanka, David Dastmalchian as the villainous M. Bison, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog, Orville Peck as Vega, and Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki.

This will be the first live-action ‘Street Fighter’ adaptation since the 1994 cult classic.
