A new report has provided clarity on Roman Reigns’ upcoming filming schedule for the “Street Fighter” movie amid speculation that the former champion was recently written out of WWE storylines to begin production.
Roman Reigns’ ‘Street Fighter’ Filming Schedule
According to a report from PWInsider, the “Street Fighter” film does not begin production until September. Reigns is reportedly slated to work for four weeks on the set, with his commitments beginning on September 2nd and finishing during the week of September 26th, as long as production runs on time. The report also notes that Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has a role in the film but is not expected to be on set for as long as Reigns.
Time For More WWE Appearances
The filming schedule means there is still plenty of time for “The Tribal Chief” to make additional appearances on WWE programming before he is needed on set. The report shoots down any speculation that his recent return was part of a short-term angle before leaving again for Hollywood.
The schedule means Reigns will be available for the immediate fallout from this past weekend’s SummerSlam. On Night One of the event, Reigns and his cousin, Jey Uso, defeated the team of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. This places them directly in opposition to the new World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, who is aligned with Breakker and Reed.
Reigns’ next advertised WWE appearance is Survivor Series: WarGames in November.
