Roman Reigns talked with FOX Sports to promote SummerSlam. There had been speculation after WrestleMania on when Roman knew that he was going to lose and whether or not the fans reaction to him influence Vince McMahon’s decision on the finish of the match. Roman confirmed that he found out just one day before the show. When asked about it he said, “I found out the night before… after the Hall of Fame.”
It’s been reported that Brock Lesnar knew about a week before the show and Seth Rollins was not told anything until after his match with Randy Orton at WrestleMania. The precise time he was told was during the segment that involved Ronda Rousey and The Rock.
Nikki Bella was also interviewed to promote SummerSlam and to talk about the Divas Revolution, being a long-time Divas champion and John Cena’s broken nose.
On Cena’s broken nose she said, “I was so scared. When you see someone’s nose on the side of their face, just gushing blood, and then when you love the guy and you care about him; I was just like, what’s going on, why is he not coming back? But you know John’s Superman. So he finished the match. But I was still scared and I stayed with him in the hospital that night. He had emergency surgery. I was his nurse all week. But he’s doing amazing. He’s 100 percent now. And I just honestly have never seen anyone in my life heal like John. He heels so fast and he’s so strong but that was pretty scary.”
