Roman Reigns’ mystery attacker has been revealed.
Although it was leaked last week via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE had to hold off on the big reveal until this week’s SmackDown Live at the end of the show.
The main event for this week’s show was Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan vs. Big E and Xavier Woods. The match ended in a disqualification when Erick Rowan attacked New Day with steel ring steps. Rowan and Bryan laid out New Day after the match but the big news was what happened in the final minute of the show.
Reigns confronted Buddy Murphy in the locker room and asked him if he was the one driving the forklift because he saw him backstage last week. Murphy denied knowing anything and said he wouldn’t tell Reigns a damn thing even if he did know. Reigns then attacked Murphy.
Murphy finally revealed that it was Rowan who drove the forklift. He said he didn’t see Bryan but he saw Rowan. Meanwhile, Rowan and Bryan were watching this from the ring as the show ended. It’s unclear if this is means there will be a match at SummerSlam or if this storyline will continue next week and into the September pay-per-view.
