Roman Reigns not booked for WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view

The WWE crew is heading home to the United States and this week they will begin building towards the next pay-per-view, Extreme Rules, which takes place in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday, October 8.

Because of his part-time schedule, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is not booked for the show and the next time fans will see him defend the title will be at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed what the future plans are for Reigns. He said, “He’s not on the [next] show. His next championship match is Saudi Arabia. I don’t know who against but I know it’s Saudi Arabia. He’s not on the Philly show.”

Based on how things played out at Clash at the Castle, it appears likely one of the top matches for Extreme Rules will be Drew McIntyre vs. Karrion Kross.

WWE Crown Jewel is scheduled for Saturday, November 5 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
