Roman Reigns on whether he would wrestle The Rock: “I would, I don’t know if he wants it”

For the month of November, WWE has been celebrating the 25 year anniversary of The Rock making WWE in-ring debut at Survivor Series 1996.

While the company had been hopeful “The Great One” could appear at this year’s show to do an angle to lead to a match with Roman Reigns at next year’s WrestleMania, that’s not looking likely as he will be in Australia filming “Young Rock.” It’s also not looking likely that a match between Reigns and The Rock will take place next year due to Rock’s busy Hollywood schedule.  The Rock previously said that there is no truth in the reports that he is facing Reigns at WrestleMania.

To promote Survivor Series, Reigns appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. During it, he was asked about the rumors of The Rock making an appearance at this show.

“These are rumors, you’re saying? I haven’t heard these rumors and I would think I’m closer than anybody at this point. So it’s not what I’ve heard, but I also debuted at Survivor Series as well, so it’s a nice little tie-in. But I don’t know. “

Reigns was then asked if he would like to face The Rock:

“I would, I don’t know if he wants it. That’s something we do in our family as far as sports entertainment, professional wrestling, WWE. This is our platform. This is our family business. I fought with my cousins The Usos about a year ago and where better to solve problems than the squared circle.”

Reigns will wrestle Big E in a champion vs. champion bout this Sunday at Survivor Series. You can watch the entire interview by clicking on the player below (quotes can be found at the 4:15 mark):
