Roman Reigns wasn’t thrilled in storyline with Kevin Owens wearing an Ever-Rise t-shirt during a segment on Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
Owens will challenge Reigns for the Universal Title in a Last Man Standing Match at Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view. The segment on SmackDown saw them join Michael Cole via split-screen for an interview to further promote their match.
Matt Martel, who is part of the tag team, reacted to Owens wearing the t-shirt on Twitter by writing, “Your next Universal Champion with a sick new shirt. EverRise Rules!”
In heel fashion, Reigns responded by noting that he plans to pull some strings and ban the Ever-Rise t-shirt. He wrote the following:
“Better buy these shirts now. Once I retain on Sunday, I’m going to have them banned from @WWEShop,” wrote the Head of the Table.
