WWE has announced that Roman Reigns will be making a “blockbuster announcement” regarding the Universal Championship on tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
There’s no word what that announcement will be but there are plans for two Men’s Elimination Chamber matches at the pay-per-view so the announcement could be related to that match. Kevin Owens attacked Reigns last week, which means that their feud is not done yet.
In addition to Reigns’ announcement, Seth Rollins will return to SmackDown on tonight’s show. Rollins returned to action at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view after taking time off to be with his wife Becky Lynch, who gave birth in December. There’s no word on what the plans are for Rollins but back in November, there were plans to continue the Rollins storyline with the Mysterio family and the long-term plan was for Murphy to turn heel again. We’ll see if those plans are still in place or if they are going to do something different with Rollins.
As of this writing, WWE has not announced matches for tonight’s show.
