Roman Reigns Spears CM Punk And Powerbombs Him Through The Announce Table To Close WWE Raw

Roman Reigns speared CM Punk and powerbombed him through the announce table to close Monday’s Raw in Boston after the Usos helped set up the attack, but Punk laughed from the wreckage and told Reigns he is not the one who needs help.

The closing segment began with Punk cutting a promo addressing Reigns calling him old last week. Punk said he is not ashamed of his age and turned the insult into a rallying cry, comparing himself to Terry Funk as “middle aged and crazy,” to Nolan Ryan when he beat up Robin Ventura, and to Gordie Howe playing professional hockey until age 52.

“If I was ashamed of how old I was, I would be covering up my whiskers with Just for Men, like Roman does,” Punk said.

Punk said age is just a number and that Reigns has already lost if all he sees is an old man. “This old man dropped you on your ass with one punch,” Punk said. “He will tie you into knots at WrestleMania. When you are all oiled up after 20 minutes and I give you a GTS and you wake up on Monday and realize you are the best in the world, you didn’t get beaten up by any old man, you got beaten up by THE old man.”

Punk also went after the Anoa’i family as a whole, saying Reigns cannot do anything without his cousins and that no one in the family can do anything on their own. He said he has the entire family so shook that Reigns sent out an open invitation for any Samoan to come after him, and no one has taken him up on it.

Jey Uso Confronts Punk

Jey Uso came out and told Punk he is old and has hit his head too many times. Jey said they could handle it right now. Punk pointed out that Jey never got his rematch for the World Heavyweight Championship and asked if he wanted it tonight in Boston.

Jimmy Uso came out and tried to defuse the situation. Jimmy told Jey they had already been disqualified earlier tonight and have the tag titles on the line next week at Madison Square Garden. He told Jey to leave Punk for Roman. “Lock down,” Jimmy said. “We have nothing to do with him.”

Jey asked where Roman was. Roman Reigns’ music hit.

Roman Spears Punk, Powerbombs Him Through Table

Reigns walked to the ring and looked at Jimmy and Jey, then at Punk. Punk put his hands behind his back, offering Reigns the first shot.

Reigns told the Usos that they already had their tag match tonight and it is done. He told Jimmy, as respectfully as he could, to get his brother and leave his ring. Punk told them to stay because Roman needs the help.

Jey went after Punk. Punk punched him. Jimmy grabbed Punk from behind, and Reigns hit a Superman Punch. Jey told Roman to finish it. Reigns hit a spear.

Reigns kicked Punk to the floor and sent him into the ring post multiple times before powerbombing him through the announce table. Reigns punched Punk and walked away but stayed at ringside.

Punk laughed from the wreckage and told Reigns he is not the one who needs help. Raw went off the air.

Reigns will challenge Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42 on Night 2, Sunday, April 19, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
