Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley are currently locked into a feud to determine who will challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam next month.
Both Reigns and Lashley won their respective Triple Threat matches on Monday Night RAW earlier this week, and will go one-on-one on next week’s RAW to decide who will face “The Beast” at “The Biggest Party Of The Summer.” This will be a rematch of their bout at Extreme Rules this past weekend, which Lashley won cleanly after connecting with a Spear.
Reigns was recently interviewed by Helen Yee Sports and talked about Lashley’s return to WWE and his recent run. “The Big Dog” admitted it was off to a ‘rocky start’ but believes the former Bellator MMA heavyweight has settled into his current role in the company:
“I think, right off the get-go, it was a little rocky,” Reigns said. “But I think he’s really settled in and he’s getting comfortable – it seems like he’s starting to feel at home again.
“When you kind of leave the WWE and you move around a little bit you can kind of get out of the shake of things. It seems like he’s really getting comfortable, he had a great showing on Sunday (Extreme Rules) but next Monday isn’t going to be the same.”
Reigns also talked about Daniel Cormier vs. Brock Lesnar, a jump from UFC to WWE for Cormier, and goals for the rest of the year. Check out the interview below:
