Ariel Helwani is reporting that WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has tested positive for COVID-19.
Reigns will not be at WW Day 1 where he was scheduled to defend the Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar. Helwani added that Reigns is vaccinated.
This means that the Universal Title match will not be happening tonight and instead, Brock Lesnar has been added to the WWE Championship match that will feature Big E defending. That match will not be a five-way match. The other names in the match are Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, and Bobby Lashley.
Reigns has beaten Leukemia and he is immunocompromized so we wish him well and hope for a speedy recovery from the virus.
Roman Reigns has tested positive for COVID-19, per sources.
As a result, he won’t be competing tonight at the WWE PPV, Day 1, in Atlanta.
