Roman Reigns believes he is in the physical prime of his life at 41.
In an interview with Men’s Health promoting his role as Akuma in the Street Fighter film, which opens October 16, the World Heavyweight Champion was asked how he feels about his body in his 40s compared to his 30s.
“I think I’m in my prime physically. I look at my stomach or whatever it may be, that’s a part of that body dysmorphia we’re all struggling with,” Reigns said.
“And it’s one of those deals that I think if you just keep working on it,” he said. “It’s not done until it’s done.”
Reigns said he keeps a long-term view on days when he is less confident about how he looks.
“It’s a marathon. It’s not over. Even if your goal is tomorrow, just extend it. Just keep going. If my look isn’t perfect on Sunday, then I should probably just keep trying to make it a little better. Keep working at it,” Reigns said.
He also said he has to stay disciplined with his diet because he gains weight easily.
“When I’m locked in and I’m dialed, that’s everything. If I get out of that, I can be the opposite,” he said.
Reigns is set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight at Money in the Bank on October 10 in New Orleans. He is also advertised for Crown Jewel on November 7.
