At WWE Bad Blood, The Rock made his shocking return and stared down Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes as the show ended. The Rock’s motivations for showing up are being kept quiet for now and, as Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rock is not scheduled for WrestleMania so it’s unclear if we’ll see Rock vs. Roman Reigns and/or Cody Rhodes anytime soon.
Reigns is teasing on social media that he will acknowledge someone. He posted, “Tonight, We Acknowledge Him..” That tweet has sparked a ton of speculation on who he might be talking about from The Rock to Jimmy Uso to Paul Heyman or possibly his father Sika, who passed away in June.
WWE.com’s official preview stays that Reigns will “sound off” in a “can’t miss episode” of SmackDown. WWE is also advertising Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill defending against Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend. Also set for tonight is LA Knight defending the United States Title against Carmelo Hayes.
Also, nothing is officially announced for Kevin Owens but presumably, there will be some sort of follow-up on KO attacking Cody Rhodes in the parking lot after Bad Blood went off the air.
SmackDown airs tonight at 8/7 central.
