This week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown kicked off with an in-ring segment featuring Roman Reigns and Adam Pearce. Heading into the show, WWE teased that Reigns was going to make a “blockbuster announcement.”
Reigns said that he doesn’t want to defend the Universal Championship inside the Chamber so Paul Heyman said that Adam Pearce should announce that the winner of the Chamber match would get an immediate title match against Reigns.
Pearce immediately announced that there will be qualifying matches on SmackDown but two names will not need to qualify for the Chamber match and those two names are Jey Uso and Kevin Owens.
