Last week before WWE announced Roman Reigns was returning to Monday Night Raw, we exclusively reported that WWE announcers were told to mention The Shield when Braun Strowman was triple powerbombed by Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley.
Things are much clearer now that Reigns has let the world know his leukemia is in remission and it looks like WWE knew almost two weeks ago that Reigns was ready to return to the ring.
The Q Arena in Cleveland, Ohio is advertising Reigns and Seth Rollins vs. Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley in a 2-on-3 handicap match for WWE Fastlane. Of course, they’ve been teasing a full-blown Shield reunion so it’s possible Dean Ambrose could join Reigns and Rollins for that match.
The match has yet to be announced on WWE TV but this coming Monday’s Raw will be the go-home show for Fastlane so expect an angle on that show to set up the match.
Here is what has been officially announced so far for Fastlane:
WWE Championship
Daniel Bryan (Champion) vs. The Miz
WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
Asuka (Champion) vs. Mandy Rose
WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship
The Usos (Champions) vs. Shane McMahon and The Miz
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
Sasha Banks and Bayley (Champions) vs. Nia Jax and Tamina
