Roman Reigns On WWE Raw Return: “More Receipts To Come!”

In a stunning conclusion to last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns made his surprise return to WWE. This marked his first appearance since being taken out of action on the Raw after WrestleMania 41.

Roman Reigns Returns, Targets Heyman’s New Faction

Reigns appeared after the main event, which saw CM Punk win a gauntlet match to become the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. As Punk celebrated, Reigns hit the ring and targeted Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, who are aligned with Paul Heyman and Seth Rollins. Reigns dispatched both men with a series of Superman punches and spears, standing tall alongside his cousin Jey Uso and CM Punk to close the show. After the show, Reigns commented on social media, “More receipts to come! Good to be back.”

Revenge For WrestleMania Betrayal

The return is a direct response to the events of WrestleMania 41, where Paul Heyman turned on Reigns during his triple-threat match with Seth Rollins and CM Punk, allowing Rollins to win. Reigns was then attacked and injured by Rollins and Breakker on the following episode of Raw. Now referring to himself as “OTC1” (Original Tribal Chief), Reigns has made it clear he is back for revenge.

Reigns’ quest for revenge against Seth Rollins comes at a complicated time. As has been reported, Rollins suffered a legitimate knee injury this past weekend and did not appear on last night’s Raw. His status for the upcoming SummerSlam event is currently unknown, which adds another layer of uncertainty to Roman Reigns’ return and his plans for vengeance.

WrestleVotes revealed scrapped plans for Reigns and a new title that was discussed last December. For more on that, click here.
