Speculation about Roman Reigns’ future with WWE has been put to rest, with WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reporting that there is no concern from either WWE or TKO about Reigns leaving the company.
The speculation arose after WWE stopped advertising Reigns for June episodes of Monday Night Raw, leading some to question whether there was an issue between the reigning World Heavyweight Champion and the company. It quickly emerged that the situation was the result of a clerical error rather than any deliberate decision, and that Reigns was never planned to appear on Raw in June.
WrestleVotes confirmed that Reigns’ status within WWE is considered firm and that he is factored into the company’s plans in a major way going forward.
Reigns will remain on WWE television through to at least the Clash in Italy pay-per-view on May 31, with his World Heavyweight Championship defense against Jacob Fatu at Backlash on May 9 in Tampa coming first. He has been a regular on Raw since capturing the title with his WrestleMania 42 night two victory over CM Punk.
The June Raw absence does create some tension with Reigns’ own recent claim that he would be around all summer following his WrestleMania title win, given that June is one of the three summer months. The clarification from WrestleVotes suggests the lighter June schedule is a planned part of his workload rather than a sign of any broader issue with his relationship with WWE.
