Ronda Rousey has been away from WWE for over a year although she remains under contract.
The former UFC star had an impressive rookie run in pro wrestling as she made her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34, was a dominant Raw Women’s Champion, and had her last match in the first-ever main event of WrestleMania featuring women.
The former Raw Women’s Champion responded to a tweet sent out by WWE that looked back at her match against Natalya in 2018. This is where she noted that she was looking forward to doing a rematch with Natalya someday.
The two stars are good friends. She wrote the following:
“One of my favorite matches – such a huge challenge in so many ways, what a crazy day looking forward to a rematch someday @NatbyNature.”

As a result of saying that she has a desire to work another match, this has caused fans to think that she is teasing a WWE return. She remains under contract with WWE until April 2021.
After WrestleMania 35, she took a hiatus from the company to start a family. This post comes days after she was spotted training with Ariel Teal Toombs, aka Teal Piper, the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.
Rousey has previously stated that she doesn’t want to work a full-time schedule again. There have been no recent reports about her returning to WWE.
