Ronda Rousey has once again made WWE history. Last night, Rousey was involved in the first-ever women’s wrestling match to main event at Madison Square Garden. The Raw Women’s Champion successfully defended her title against Nia Jax on what was a stacked card. Rousey has been making huge strides in her professional wrestling career since making her in-ring debut this past April. She has surprised many with how quickly she has picked things up inside the ring with just under a year of experience.
Rousey was already a huge star from her days in the UFC, where she also revolutionized women’s sports. She’s on track to do the same thing in professional wrestling if she keeps her current pace. Shortly after her appearance at Madison Square Garden, Rousey took to Instagram to comment on her historic main event at “The World’s Most Famous Arena”:
“Another day, another glass ceiling shattered. I’m so incredibly honored to share the ring with these amazing women in the first ever WWE women’s main event at @thegarden”
