At last night’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, things did not end as expected between Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. After a highly competitive contest, Flair decided to bust out a kendo stick and beat Rousey with it during their match. Rousey won the contest as the result of a disqualification but took a harsh beating nonetheless. The angle ended after Flair stomped on Rousey’s neck, which was trapped in a steel chair.
It will be interesting to see where Rousey goes from here, as she’s expected to begin a feud with Nia Jax next, who earned a shot at the Raw Women’s Title back at Evolution. With that being said, Rousey has released a statement in regards to her status for tonight’s episode of Raw. She posted the following on her website:
“I refused to let the doctor see me until they promised to clear me for RAW today, I said I would go home and glue it shut if I had to,” Rousey said. “They took a quick look and said I can either stitch it shut or glue it so I decided to glue it and I will be on RAW tonight!”
