WrestlingNews.co was told that Ronda Rousey is not expected to be at the WWE hotel tonight or tomorrow, so if she is going to be at the Royal Rumble then she will be flown in on the day of the show.
This is not a surprise because this is what WWE typically does for big names who are being brought in as a surprise. One source told us that the general feeling among some people in management is that they are not unhappy about word getting out about Rousey returning because it adds more buzz for the show without them having to explicitly say that she’s back.
PWInsider reported that Rousey’s makeup person is scheduled to be in St. Louis this weekend and that Rousey’s return has been in the works for several weeks. WrestlingNews.co was told that no one from Rousey’s camp has been seen today at the WWE hotel. Presumably, if she shows up at the Rumble (and that seems very likely), whatever she does at the show will set up one of the main events for WrestleMania.
