Roxanne Perez made a significant impact on the main roster earlier this year when she was revealed as the newest member of The Judgment Day. In a new interview, “The Prodigy” discussed her main roster debut, calling her inclusion in the group the “perfect way” to start her career on Monday Night Raw.
The Perfect Way to Debut
Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on his Insight podcast, Perez recalled her excitement about joining The Judgment Day. She praised the faction for what they have been able to accomplish in a short period and stated that being part of such a group is the ideal way for her to be introduced to the main roster audience.
“I think it’s the perfect way for me to come into the main roster, especially with the history they have. And I think it’s one of the biggest factions in WWE history, they’ve been able to do so much in such a short amount of time.”
Inspirations for “The Prodigy”
Joining Judgment Day has allowed Perez to embrace her “Prodigy” heel persona fully. When asked by Van Vliet who she draws inspiration from for her character, she named several iconic WWE Superstars, with the late, great Eddie Guerrero at the top of her list.
“Eddie Guerrero is probably my top one that I always watch, and just his mannerisms and the way he wrestled, and even in his entrance. It’s like he’s not doing much, but he is with his face and so him for sure. CM Punk was one of my favorite heels growing up. AJ Lee, Alexa Bliss’ Goddess era, so many but I think those are like my top inspos.”
