This week on WWE Monday Night Raw, Ruby Riott was the guest on The Kevin Owens Show.
Riott said she had something to say to Morgan so Owens invited her to be in the segment. There were “technical issues” during the segment which were actually teases for a big angle that would take place later in the show.
Riott said everything was different when she returned from injury a few months ago and then she lost twice to Morgan and she realized that maybe Morgan didn’t need her. Riott said she wasn’t ready to not be needed and she admitted that she was wrong for turning on Morgan a few months ago and she asked for a chance for the Riott Squad to be stronger than it’s ever been.
She was interrupted by The IIconics, who talked about being dominant in the tag team division and conquering WrestleMania. This led to Riott and Morgan taking on Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. Morgan won the match for her team by pinning Kay.
Riott and Morgan were being dubbed again as The Riott Squad, despite the fact that Sarah Logan was released by the company in April.
So they basically ditched Paul Heyman’s plans to push Morgan as a singles wrestler.
