Rumor Killer On AJ Lee’s WWE Status

A recent Facebook post attributed to WWE star AJ Lee, claiming she was taking time off WWE programming for a book tour, has been identified as fake, according to a report from PWInsider.com.

The report states that the Facebook account making the post is not legitimately associated with AJ Lee. PWInsider confirmed through both WWE sources and contacts within the publishing industry that Lee is not currently on a book tour.

Therefore, the claim made in the circulating Facebook post regarding a book tour explaining any potential absence from television is inaccurate. The account and the specific posting have been confirmed as fake.

AJ Lee made her high-profile return to WWE after nearly a decade away at the Wrestlepalooza Premium Live Event in September, teaming with her husband CM Punk to defeat Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Since then, she has been involved in the ongoing storyline surrounding Punk, Rollins, Lynch, and the World Heavyweight Championship picture, though she has not competed in another match.

It’s unclear when she will be used again on WWE television, although there is speculation that she will be working the Women’s WarGames match next month at Survivor Series.
