Rumor Killer on Champion vs. Champion Match at WWE Survivor Series

WWE is building towards its Crown Jewel PLE next month before shifting its focus to Survivor Series just a few weeks later on November 25th.

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre are the top matches on the Crown Jewel card.

As previously reported, WWE is bringing back the WarGames theme for Survivor Series, but there’s been speculation about WWE going back to the Raw vs. SmackDown theme as well.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted while recapping Monday’s Raw that there are no plans to do Rollins vs. Reigns in a champion vs. champion match at Survivor Series despite speculation that WWE may have teased it on Monday night.

Bryan Alvarez: “It seemed like they were maybe building up to a Roman Reigns Seth Rollins match down the road.”

Meltzer: “I didn’t sense that.”

Alvarez: “Not imminently. But they did that in Survivor Series for years and years and years.”

Meltzer: “They’re not going to do that. I can tell you for sure. That’s not on this year’s Survivor Series.”
