WWE has a ton of talent under contract these days, with those performers spread across all of the brands. With so many stars, not everyone can be used on a weekly basis.
For Oro Mensah, he hasn’t been seen on television in a while, leading to fans speculating about his status. Mensah first signed with WWE in 2019 as part of the NXT UK brand under the ring name Oliver Carter, where he became a one-time NXT UK Tag Team Champion alongside Ashton Smith.
He was moved to NXT in 2022 and given a new name, where he has been paired with Jakara Jackson, Lash Legend, and Noam Dar as The Meta-Four. On the October 15 episode of NXT, Mensah faced Lexis King in a Gentleman’s Duel, leading to Mensah putting King over. Mensah hasn’t wrestled since he put over Niko Vance on the December 3rd episode of NXT Level Up.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that “Contrary to social media panic on December 13th, Oro Mensah has not been released by WWE. We have not heard of Keanu Carver exiting the company either as of this writing.”
It’s unclear exactly when WWE plans to have Mensah back on TV.
