We got a few emails from readers asking if the finish in the Undertaker/Brock Lesnar match might have been a botch or an audible. That is not the case at all. That was the planned finish all along. Very few people in the company knew about this. This was super secret and it was Undertaker’s decision to lose the match. I believe that the only people that knew about this finish (besides the people involved in the match) were Triple H and Vince McMahon. I was told that the referee in the match wasn’t told until the day of the show.
I don’t think Taker is retiring. I first reported a couple weeks ago that the plan for next year is that the loser of the Sting/Undertaker match will retire. Click here to see my original report.
So, what will happen tomorrow? This part is just speculation but my hunch tells me that Taker will come out and tease his retirement before being interrupted by Sting and he will lay down the challenge for next year. As of a week ago, Taker was not talking about retiring this year.
One last note on The Undertaker. It is believed that he suffered a concussion. Nothing life threatening and he should be ok.
