It looks like Vince McMahon has his mind set on the Raw Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania becoming a Triple Threat Match. Apparently, there’s been a rumor making the rounds with the claim being that McMahon has decided on a singles match between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch. That is false and plans have not changed.
Meltzer said, “I know that there’s been stuff going around that it’s Ronda Rousey against Becky Lynch in a singles match at WrestleMania. You can never say that Vince won’t change his mind but this one is pretty much a lock at this point that [the Triple Threat Match is] gonna happen.”
Meltzer pointed out that they are calling both the Universal Championship match and the Raw Women’s Championship match the main event but although there are rumors in the company suggesting that the women will close out the show, that decision has not been made.
Meltzer added, “They’re gonna call both [matches] main events. I’m presuming that the women’s match will be last but it’s Vince and I’ll also presume that the decision won’t be made until the week of the show because that’s usually when they make those decisions. Even though Becky said main event, that’s not a lock that they’re going on last, just yet.”
