We’ve heard worse theme songs before, that’s for sure. But it was a pretty exciting announcement when Rusev found out he was going to be paired up with his wife Lana for the upcoming WWE Mixed Match Challenge series and he couldn’t hold in his enthusiasm.
The Bulgarian Brute was so elated that he just couldn’t keep it inside and had to voice his happiness through song. “Lana is the best, Lana #1” is actually a pretty catchy number if I do say so myself. I like the part where they clap their hands, that’s neat and it could give an arena full of people a chance to participate as they sing along during the MMC.
Rusev might be especially happy because he finally gets a chance to actually protect Lana in the ring during one of her matches. Let’s just hope they’re able to work well together during the series.
The Rusev Day chants will undoubtedly be in full-force in their general direction as well, therefore it might be an odd situation for Lana to be working with Rusev and get a babyface reaction. But give her a minute on the microphone before their contest, and I’m sure The Ravishing Russain will be able to get the crowd to start booing them just like old times.
WWE Mixed Match Challenge starts on January 16th after SmackDown Live goes off the air and it will air on Facebook Watch. It will be here before we know it and it looks like WWE is going to go all-out for this one. With so many exciting teams being announced for this ground-breaking viral event, who knows how many wonderful moments we’re about to be in store for?
One thing we can be sure of is the fact that January 16th will now be a Ravishing Rusev Day.
